Best Times of the Year to Visit Disney Parks in Orlando

Which part of the calendar year are the best times to visit the Orlando Disney World Theme Parks? When are the lines the shortest? When are they the longest?

How about the best days of the week to visit each one? Below is a strategic way to get the most buck for your dollar and the least amount of wait time.

Keep in mind that when the parks have the shortest lines, the parks normally have earlier closing hours. You'll have an easier and less stressful time fitting it all in.

LOW ATTENDANCE
January - (except New Year's Day) until President's Week in February
September - following Labor Day until just before Thanksgiving week
Nov./Dec.: the week following Thanksgiving 'til week prior to Christmas

MODERATE ATTENDANCE
February - after President's Week through early March
Late April - through early June (except Mem. Day or Easter break)
November - the 1st part of Thanksgiving week (before EVERYONE COMES!)

And the busiest time of the year.....

HIGHEST ATTENDANCE
February - President's Week
March/April - whenever Spring Break lands around the country
May - Memorial Day weekend
June - September - Summer time: Mid-June through Labor Day
November: Thanksgiving Day and weekend
December - Christmas week through New Year's Day

Busiest Days at each of the four Disney theme parks
Magic Kingdom: Monday, Thursday, Saturday
Epcot: Tuesday & Friday
MGM: Sunday & Wendesday
Animal Kingdom: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Keep this all in mind when trying to plan your magical vacation to Orlando Disney World Theme Parks. We, who live here, do, and we only wish that the parks would stay open later during the low and moderate attendance times of the year.
